Kambi Breaks Records with Over 100 Million Bets During World Cup 2026

Kambi has smashed records this summer, reporting more than 100 million bets placed across its global network of Turnkey Sportsbook partners during the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2026. This impressive milestone highlights how Kambi’s AI-powered trading system is changing the game, optimizing performance and driving new player trends toward higher-margin betting products.

With 102 of the 104 matches already completed, Kambi’s data shows a strong shift toward Bet Builder and player prop markets, marking a continued move away from old-school “match winner” bets. This evolution is clear in the semi-finals alone, which saw over 700,000 different Bet Builder combinations placed per match—an all-time high.

Compared to the previous World Cup in 2022, betting activity has surged. Pre-match Bet Builder turnover increased 3.6 times, while live Bet Builder turnover skyrocketed by 10 times. The average Bet Builder now includes 3.5 selections, up from 2.9 previously. Interestingly, the most popular bet type has become player shots on target, generating twice the turnover of traditional match winner markets.

The expanded 2026 tournament exceeded expectations not only in volume but also in engagement, with higher average turnover per match and a noticeable rise in average stakes. Thanks to Kambi’s diverse global partner network, bets have been placed across multiple regions and time zones, spreading risk and boosting total activity.

Kambi’s groundbreaking AI trading technology has played a key role throughout the tournament, managing both pre-match and live odds completely through algorithmic systems. This has led to better efficiency, quicker updates, and reduced live betting delays, while offering players more betting options than ever before.

Commenting on the achievement, Werner Becher, CEO of Kambi, said the record-breaking performance highlights “the scale of our network and the progress we are making in sportsbook innovation.”

Kambi will release its Q2 2026 report on July 22, offering deeper insights into its World Cup performance and how AI continues to fuel the company’s sportsbook evolution.
